Basic questions and answers about the effect of KROESLER drugs on coronavirus - translation of official information from Chem. Fabrik KREUSSLER & Co., GmbH on the basis of the current rules and regulations in the EU.

Question 1:

is it possible to destroy the coronavirus with Kreussler drugs?

Answer:

Yes, if you strictly follow the technologies with a recognized disinfecting effect using OTTALIN PERACET and/or TREBON PLUS. For more information about disinfectants contact our specialists. In the case of requirements for official disinfection measures, it is necessary to strictly comply with the norms of local legislation and regulation of disinfection processes.

Question 2:

is it possible to disinfect/destroy coronavirus in an aquachist?

Answer:

with aquachist, which often does not allow the washing of outerwear made of sensitive materials (wool and silk), the high level of disinfection requirements established by the RKI for epidemic cases is usually unattainable.

One of the possible methods of disinfection treatment is the use of Lanadol ABAC, which, although it has not passed special testing for effectiveness against coronaviruses, has proven its effectiveness against mouse norovirus (virucidal effect according to DIN EN 14476):

1 ml of Lanadol ABAC per liter of solution + Exposure time 5 min + Disinfection temperature 30 °C

Lanadol ABAC also acts as a levurocidal (against yeast fungi) according to DIN EN 1650 and a bactericidal (according to DIN EN 1276) agent; the dosage is 0.4 ml/l, the exposure time is 5 minutes at 20 °C.

The use of Lanadol ABAC is particularly recommended in order to comply with hygienic requirements for outerwear from nursing homes for the elderly, which cannot withstand disinfection treatment according to the conditions of the RKI without damaging the material.

Question 3:

is disinfection treatment possible during dry cleaning using solvents?

Answer:

There are no officially established disinfection standards for solvent-based dry cleaning; all hygiene standards are provided for washing procedures only. Nevertheless, as is known from the experience of using cleaning processes implemented in modern machines, the drying cleaning process reduces the number of bacteria by about three orders of magnitude. Thus, it is impossible to carry out any specific disinfection within the framework of dry cleaning using solvents, but it can be argued that the process of cleaning, drying and finishing / ironing has a positive effect on ensuring the necessary hygienic qualities of outerwear, which, as a rule, does not allow washing.

Question 4:

How long is the coronavirus able to remain viable on the surface of textiles?

Answer:

Very few serious statements have been made about this issue at the moment. One of them can be found in an article on the Harvard University — Harvard Health Blog, which answers the question "Can coronavirus remain active on fabrics, carpets and other soft surfaces":

"There is currently no evidence that the new COVID-19 coronavirus can be transmitted to humans from soft surfaces such as fabrics or carpets."
