THE NUMBER of dry cleaning machines on THE SYSTEM4.
08/10/2012
Nothing unusual or fundamentally new is required to keep the K4 dry cleaning machine in optimal working condition, but...
As with any other dry cleaning machine running on any other solvent, it is important to keep the solvent itself "clean" and in order. To do this, it is necessary to control the pH of the aqueous extract (or at least the lower water extract, in the case of the salt 4 – phase water separator). The pH value should be from neutral to slightly alkaline (pH ≈ 7.0-8.5), which is achieved by regular use of PERAMON solvent stabilizer. Among other things, this completely protects the equipment from corrosion, and the solvent itself from hydrolysis. The latter is even more relevant in relation to perchloroethylene.
In addition, the water separator should be cleaned regularly every 7-10 days. To do this, drain the water and pour 2 liters of clean water into the upper "pre-separator". Manually open the valve and allow the water to "drain" into the main water separator of the cascade system. After about 10 minutes, you can hear the conductivity sensor go off, the valve opens and the water flows into the lower "backup" separator.
This simple procedure significantly increases the efficiency of the water separator and, among other things, solves the problem of combating unpleasant odors on things.
"Due" to the fundamental features of SOLVONK4, dry cleaning machines of the SYSTEM4 (at least for the last 3 years of observations), unlike "perchloric" ones, do not require a special procedure for cleaning lint deposits "with soaking", however, if necessary, it can also be carried out using PRENETTK4 and water.
