All routine maintenance of the bearing assembly is reduced to monitoring the oil in the oil cans, refilling it if necessary, and monitoring the absence of water leakage from the drainage hole of the drum suspension assembly.

But sooner or later, under the influence of friction and detergents, the seals will leak (no miracle will happen). This will become noticeable on the drain pipe. But even in this case, the reliable, oil-coated Japanese bearings of the machine are not in danger. The water will drain away without getting on them. And finally, it will only be necessary to replace the cheap oil seals. This is relatively easy to do. Yes, the AX washing machine suspension bearing assembly is repaired WITHOUT the laborious dismantling of the drum itself.

The consequence of simplicity is maintainability

Another characteristic feature that demonstrates Indian philosophy is mechanical door locks. The door lock of the AX washing machines is unusual and demonstrates the deep philosophical approach of the designers. Why make something complicated if the simple one works? The lock is unique in that it is absolutely concise and does not have any electromechanical actuators – a hook, a bracket, a handle and a spring-loaded cotter pin for locking the lock! Congratulations to the owners of STEFAB – you will never have to buy or repair a car lock. Electronics and electrical automation, where they can be dispensed with, are absent.

Even the manhole seal is special. This is not some kind of expensive shaped original part, but a simple and cheap soft rubber tape, carefully glued into the grooves of the hatch. And even in the case of a "drawdown" of the seal, its tightness can be easily restored by mechanically adjusting the door lock.
