Increasingly, dry cleaning technologists have to deal with problematic items that lose their original properties after being treated in perchloroethylene and they require subsequent time-consuming refinement. "Eternal" problems also remain, for which there is still no "magic" solution.:

• washing out of stamp coatings and patterns;
• over-drying of the skin tissue, changing the neck of the product;
• disruption of dyes;
• Non-removal of water-soluble and pigmented impurities.
