Artificial fur requires skillful handling.
27/02/2014
There are several types of artificial fur: fur on a woven, knitted basis, stitched fur, and fur with adhesive fixation of the pile on the fabric. Products made of woven and stitched furs are usually recommended for dry cleaning. Stitched fur is usually used for coat linings and jackets. It either lacks a latex base, or it is very thin.
Knitted and glued fur (the latter includes artificial doodle and resin) do not tolerate chemical cleaning. Knitted fur has a thick latex coating, and unlike stitched fur, it stretches easily, both longitudinally and transversely. They can be washed according to a delicate regime, or an aquachist followed by drying on hangers.
In general, the composition is complex, dry cleaning is usually allowed, and at the same time an aquachist will definitely be more effective, but not necessarily safer.… Everything is as usual, nothing new, and the decision should be made by you taking into account the labeling, the material, the type of contamination and the acceptable risk level in each individual case.
But if you're lucky and aquachist or even laundry is "allowed," then everything becomes easier.
In order to avoid damage to artificial fur products, it is necessary to carry out delicate washing or aqua-cleaning with limited "delicate" mechanical action, for example, 4/11 - with delicate washing, or 3/27 - with aqua-cleaning. In the last rinse, you need to add Thawing Soft to obtain a softer and silkier artificial pile neck.
The spin should also not be turned on at full power – 600 rpm for 3 minutes is enough.
Next, shake and hang on a hanger for natural drying. When the product dries by 80%, you can then place the product in the run-in to make the pile more fluffy.
If the structure of the fur is smooth, it is better not to run the product in drying, but you can simply comb it with a special brush "for fur".
Technological mode of washing artificial fur products in an industrial washing machine:
- Loading – no more than 50% of the standard load (i.e. 1-3 products for a 12-16 kg machine);
- Delicate drum rotation mode (no more than 4/11);
- Temperature – 30 aboutWith;
- The water level is low/medium.
